They must go through a FFL holder.

 

OK I'll bite,FFL....is that Federal Firearms L?.....i live in a Andy in Mayberry town where the only gun toten guy you gotta watch out for is BARNEY!!!!.....

Only if crossing state lines. You can mail a gun to a non-FFL holder in your home state. If the gun is a handgun, it has to go thru a private carrier.

 

As the firearm is offered for sale, transfer to a buyer out of state must go through a FFL. Some will accept a shipment from a non-FFL holder, some won't. It will be up to the buyer to inform the seller which FFL they will be using on the receiving end and what that FFL requires to accept shipment.

UPS requires shipment via Overnight Air. FedEx will ship but both rfequire upper levels of their servcie. Expect a shipping charge in the area of $60 for either. Going through the UP Post Office is usually a pain and I avoid it.
