Do you have to run braces with these or can they ride on there own?

 

Both the deluxe and the compact bags I just tied off the front of the bags to the shocks on my Superglide. I used no supports and had no problems with the compact bags. The standard bags rubbed a little on the belt guard so I just made them shorter with the flaps under the seat. There are loops to tie them off on the front and rear of each bag. At first I tied the rear off to the blinkers but didn't like the look. These bags do zip off and have carrying handles for the bags.
