All tags still attached, stated to be midweight leather, size shown is Short Large--I am 5' 11" and wear 32-33 W in Levi's jeans and 33-34 in dress slacks and there is plenty of material I would need to cut off the length of these chaps to make these fit me--I would hate to see how long the Long chaps are!

Hi Joe,

Can you measure the total width of the leg at the thigh area approx 4" down from the crotch? I am trying to determine if they will fit me.

Dang these things are hard to measure. Won't lay flat. I hope the 3 pics will help. Where you want me to measure I think it is right at 12" with them laying flat. Also, for reference, I measured the length top to bottom for someone else and that measurement is 41" and as I mentioned I am 5'11" tall and if I were going to keep these I would need to trim at least several inches off the length.

And the only size designation on any of the tags is "Short Large" so you might want to go to a HD dealer and try on whatever they may have in a "Short Large".
