Primary Chain Question

I'll assume it's not a new chain? Why not just plan to replace it when you find the leak?
Also you could put the chain in a metal pan full of heated grease, then let it cool down. Then run it dry for a short time.
You can also use a UV detection dye to find out where the leak is.
