Default Help with identification please

I have a good friend that just picked this up this weekend. It's titled as 2009 fxr. The bike has been rebuilt and does say so on title. There is plans for some changes to it, but I want to make sure the right parts are ordered.

my guess would be around a 1992 FXRS, from the tach and speedo on tank, black engine and newer style trans clutch cover

Aftermarket frame from the looks so it could be anything evo stuffed in there, as mentioned run the vin to find out year the engine started life as.

I've looked for vin on motor and am not having very good luck finding it. I'll look again when I see them next time.

Could be aftermarket cases from what little I see on the primary side, need closer detail pictures to get real about it.

The vin listed on the title is the one issued by the state. I wouldn't think it would work with the decoder? All they were able to tell me was that it's an 1340 evo motor when I talked to them. I'll take a good light with me and go over it and find every number I can off of this bike.

Probably a Frankenstein bike then made up of various parts that fit together so trying to find a specific year and model for parts may be difficult.
