BTW, I had my Fox/HD rear shocks rebuilt by Carver Performance. Cheap, like $95 for the pair. Good as new now.

I've got new rubber and the FXRD pipes are on now. Hammz is STILL my hero! My FXRC/D/P/S/T Convertible "Old Geezer Glide" is good for now.

It has the enclosed rear oil bath chain. The chain lasted for ever with that setup and since your bike is a 1984 1/2 it has the EVO style wet clutch instead of the troublesome shovelhead clutch. Looks like a nice bike.

When I first got t I noticed that hideously ugly chain set up and thought to myself thats gotta go. But the more I read about it, I get the sense its a very good set up until it starts leaking. My understanding is you cant get parts for it. I am going to get saddlebags for it of some sort. Not sure what type yet. Maybe just some leather throw over type.

You might be able to find a set of FXR Convertible bags for it, or maybe Leatherpros make a set of quick release bags that will work.

Been hanging out in the touring and pan am sections, I missed there’s an FXR section now!

Me, my dad, and some good friends Built this one from a bare frame

1993 fxrsp, racetech front and rear, Trac swing arm, 85” axtell kit, royal-T pipe, ebc rotors with wilwood calipers, painted the ghost flames myself, Jim’s fat 5 trans. Gonna add some bags and a little bigger fairing to make it more practical. Fun bike to ride!
