Ohlins offers them and the factory had 11" shocks depending on the model of FXR. Mine has 12.5" shocks but my 84 had 11" ohlins and it rode great.

Here’s my ‘99 as it stands at the moment. I’ve got to get a small dent punched out by one of the paintless guys, Should be easy through the fuel sender hole on the left side. I’m also going to have a local shop try and mix up some “Arresting Red” for a Cafe fairing. Already did the forks, have some Ohlins 13.5’s on order for the rear. Night dragon front is scheduled to arrive Tuesday so I can get rid of the skinny 21 and get my 19 thunderstar mounted up and really ride her. Got to figure out how to remove that sissy bar as well…
Pipe and cam and I’ll be “done”…

My Night Dragon arrived today so I cleaned and repacked the bearings, getting the vintage 1999 grease out (it was NOS, unopened since manufactured) and mounted up the Thunderstar. Such an Improvement over the silly 21” skinny spokes. Can’t wait to feel the handling. Once I burn off the mold release of course.
