I haven’t rid in a few years because of my leg. I dragged her out of the shed. She looked terrible..cleaned her a little bit and sent her to the mechanics..
The goal is to ride it and then do some work on it before I put it away for the winter. I’ve been trying to go get the paint buffed for a few weeks, but just never dropped it off. no I dropped the damn thing and dented it so upset… I finally got confidence back riding must’ve got overconfident..
The goal was to ride it and see if I had any other mechanical issues that I’m not aware of. Replace the rusty springs on the shocks, install SS disks and a couple upgrades.
I took on some overtime before I did this so I could have money for it. no I’m waiting to see this crazy hospital bill and what it’s gonna cost to fix this paint the dent is right in some ghosted barbed wire. If it wasn’t in the barbed wire it probably be an easier fix.
I figured you guys might get a kick out of this. I was gonna put a sticker over that dent, but then I realized I was gonna go with a magnet instead cause I’m gonna have to go take it on and off.
I bit the bullet just spent $2100 on parts, it’s going to the mechanic and then to my paint guy at the end of the year.
it is a 5 inch dent. It’s pretty embarrassing. Might as well make a joke out of it.
I embarrassed i didn’t to do it myself.. finding anybody halfway not retarded as vertical myself included.. I was just gonna fix the tank but now I’m sending it off to get painted again either original paint scheme or gloss black. I say in case I dump it again, but it happens every two decades. I think the bikes going out live me.
I can’t believe how light those rims were. I got a decent deal and shipping too. Wonder how they’re gonna balance if these Mexicans have at it.
