O2 Sensors still plugged in

Just got my PC-V jammed under the seat-pan of my Crossbones... and I was so damn excited to finally fit it under there, I went to take a ride right away. It ran pretty well, really smooth.
Then I got home, and realize I forgot to install the O2 sensor eliminators. So, I did that, then took another short ride right away. Maybe it's all in my head, but the 1st ride seemed smoother than the 2nd.
Anyway... I'm wondering if I mucked up anything by not completing the full PC-V installation completely? Should I unplug the ECM again, or something like that? ...does it "reset" itself?
Also, what effect would it have to leave the O2 sensors plugged in AFTER a PC-V install longterm? ...just curious.
