Default 07 Fat Boy Front fender offset vs. 06 SE

[8D]I have an early model 07 Fat Boy, and am getting ready to take it in and have the upper fork sliders replaced, while it is in the shop I am going to have chrome lower legs put on. My question is can I use the lower legs from an 06 Screaming Eagle Fat Boy? Same size front tire and rim. If not why? If it is a problem with the offset of the front rim, then will an aftermarket front rim fix the problem? Please dont give me a bunch of hooey on why the bike wont track correctly, it has the same frame and swingarm and triple trees as an 06 Screaming Eagle.
