Calipers,PM versus Jay Break or Hawg Halters
Own a 2006 Streetglide and want to replace the stock calipers with ones that work better. Went with floating rotors (made in Japan sticker and all)Braided brake lines and Lyndall pads. Still not satisfied. Last bike had 6 piston calipers and was fantastic. Want the Streeglide to be the same.Any constructive input would be greatly appreciated. Just not sure which to buy. PM,Hawg Halters, Jay Break. They all look good. I do not want to change my rotors. As they were a present from my wife to be.
Thanks

RE: Calipers,PM versus Jay Break or Hawg Halters
I have the HHI 4 piston calipers on my '05 softy and I would have to say that their quality is top notch. Really love the look, come with the most complete set of hardware I have aver ordered, and (so far) function as well if not slightly better than the stock calipers.

I've got the HHI calipers with PM rotors(they match my wheels).Iwent withthe HHI because I didn't like how PM stamps their logo on everything.I wanted the plain look.I alsolike how the rear caliper is two piece --seperate from the bracket.Makes R &R of the rear wheel much easier. The quality of the HHI is second to none.

For the love of God, could someone, please, tell me how to install the HHI Softail rear caliper??
I have a 2007 Softail Custom with a 200 mm rear tire.
I ordered HHI's 4 piston rear caliper kit for my application (CRK4-ST11C506). This is a one-piece caliper and bracket.
Even with the rear wheel completely removed, I cannot slide the caliper over the rotor without it hitting the rim.
It's not even close. I don't think I could beat it on with a hammer.
Can someone please help?
Thanks
