I wasn't aware Ohlins made shocks for Harleys. Ohlins are the cream of the crop, shock-wise.

I have Ohlins on my FXST was able to get a deal (600 NIB) when you match them up with a good front end (I'm using RaceTech) the bike handles and rides like a new machine.
Some people would rather spend money on an airride. Decide what you want toduewith the bike then go from there.

It is like asking the forum spend the money on chrome/paint or motorwork.

Dear Hollywood...

Of course Oehlins are great shocks but also are on top of the food chain in terms of prices. If you did not know, our German company Wilbers also produces custom made shocks for your 04 RK Classic... I do not want to advertise or something, just wanted to tell you that there are options. If you want, contact me by email (kontaktusa@wilbers.de) and I can offer you some of our shocks... Naturally, the offer is without any obligations!!!

Take care and always ride safe!

Just finished replacing (at 30K miles) the OEM shocks on my '07 RK Custom with Öhlins HD-540's (chrome springs). Got them for $531.00 (shipped) from HardRacing.com. NB: It took 8 weeks for Öhlins to make and ship them from Sweden to HardRacing, and another week to get to me.

Will report back after I take a ride!!!
