Default 2004 Road King Classic fork maintenance

This may sound like a stupid question, but what type of front forks do I have? I've got an after market service manual unfortunately it isn't clear onthe maintenance method. I thought there was a way to drain and replace fork oil from the drain plug? I'd hate to have to remove the nacelle and do it from the top. Any help would be appreciated.

You have convetional legs on both sides. You can just drain at the bottom and replace at the top. Yes, you have to remove the nacelle. It doesn't take but about 10 minutes to remove it.

xxxflhrci...Have you got any tips or tricks that might help when removing the nacelle? To me, it looks like a PITA to remove and lots of little parts to lose. Maybe once I get into it it won't be that bad. Anything you'd like to share I'd appreciate it.

1FLHTR4ME...I've got a "real" H-D manual on order.

Thanks,

Scooter,

It's really an easy job. Just follow the steps in the manual. There aren't any tricks, but there aren't any pitfalls that I can think of. Once you do it, you will see how easy it is.
