Sure you can...but with all the different brands of rims out on the market, there is a good chance you will have to compensate with the axle spacer lengths, due to the hub is probably wider.
I put an 18 x 3.5 on my front, and 18 x 5.5 on the rear. Of course I had to replace the spacers.

Heck yeah... I had a 16x5.5" (Xtreme Machine, for sale in "Parts for sale"... hint, hint!) on my '02 Night Train, with a 150 stretched onto it. There wasn't much clearance for the belt, but there was enough! The spacers seem to have been stock, as the same ones were used with my new 16x3" spoked wheel.

Thanks, for the input guys.
Chops, we seam to hit alot of the same threads. when i checked out your site, i noticed after you installed the 200, you had a different set of rims, then after the fender install you had the ones on in the sun set picture. Are those custom rims, looks like fatboy rims but modified alot. Again, bike looks great.
jbt, thanks for the input and the hint on your rims. I am looking at PM wheels "the judge", or modifying a set of slotted fat boy rims i picked up on ebay.
i found a guy in NY that will strip the chrome of the slotted wheels and turn the roughness outand chrome them for around 600.00 a piece, (1350.00 total in rims). i don't know if i won't them chromed, i love the polished look but have been told it is very hard to keep them clean. Any thoughts or expirence?

I like that name, sunset rims!!
The sunset rims, do I have a ton of labor in those bad boys.
I took stock FB wheels, spin sanded them smooth, and buffed them out using three grades of buffing cakes until they were chrome-like.
I then drilled out the fake 'holes' around the perimeter, and installed stainless steel acorn nuts.
They were fairly easy to keep clean.
I decided this past fall to go 18" low profile and wide tire, so those rims got sold off, shipped outand they are in TX somewhere right now.
All future pictures will be with the 3 spoke RCC wheels.....
