Adjusting throttle cable
My wife has a 2011 sportster custom. There is a lot of play in the throttle. So I took off the air filter to get to the "wheel" where the throttle cable runs around it. But I am not sure where to make the adjustment. I want to take some of the play out of the cable to make it a little more responsive when she rolls on the throttle. Where and how is that adjustment made?
Thanks
John

STOP!
This is where a Service Manual comes into good use. The cable is adjusted from the grip side on the handlebars.
Adjust the throttle side, ( under the rubber sleeves, farthest from you in the seat,) to take up that slack. Start the bike and let it idle. Turn the bars lock to lock. The idle should stay even. The grip should open and close with out binding.
Don't touch the bell crank on the throttle body under the A/C cover.
