anyone know of someone in the San Diego area, that knows how to adjust/work on Ohlin shocks?

We have our own tame Ohlins expert in the form of Howard at HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal. He's in Florida, but on the phone! Nothing he doesn't know about Ohlins for Harleys.
