'07 Superglide. Had to replace the rear tire and in doing so due to a case of dumba$$ on my part I took apart the brake caliper. Got everything together and bled the brakes using Dot4 brake fluid per procedure in the manual. Took for a test ride and brake didn't work correctly so came back and bled it again and got a couple more bubbles out but still will not lock up the rear brake under hard braking. It will slow down but not like before. Could it be because I got brake fluid on the disc and pads or something else? Have gone through about 8 oz. of brake fluid bleeding system. Using Prestone Syn Dot4 brake fluid. Help please. Just learning how to wrench on these so excuse my lameness.Thanks in advance.

 

Sounds like the pads are contaimanted,the rotor can be cleaned with alchol or a brake cleaner.Not sure if you can heat the pads to burn off the fluid I would just replace them and clean everything before you put back together.
