Default Shocks for Street Glide

I have a 2010 Street GLide and I have had my seat worked by Mean City Cycles , but I still cannot quite sit flat footed on the bike. I am 5'7" with a 30 inch inseam. I think a inch or so would be enough. I am trying to descide if I should just put in a lowering kit for the shocks or actually buy a set of lower shocks. I am 160lbs and my wife is about 180 and most of our riding is 2 up. Part of the problem is I'm not made of money so I would like to get buy on the cheap or cheaper if I can. Thoughts?

Cool

Save your money! You and I are similar height and I cannot flat-foot either. This is a modern fad and has no merit. As the miles roll by you will find you gain confidence and skill and won't need to flat-foot. Wear good quality bike boots to give you good grip. If you lower the bike you risk losing comfort through short shock travel, as well as cornering clearance.
