Default Size of Bolt Head on '04 Softail Pivot Shaft?

I can't find the size of the bolt head is on the pivot shaft for a '04 Softail rear fork. It looks like it could be 35 mm, 36 mm, or 1-3/8" (which are all about the same size). Does anyone know?

Also, in lieu of a wrench for the bolt head, what do you use? A large adjustable wrench?

Thanks.
