I'm now in the process of switching from Dunlop blackwalls to Metzeler WWW on my EG... I just mounted the rear ME880 andwill run about another 5k on the front Dunlop before it's ready to be changed. I've noticed no problems so far and I run at 80 MPH most of the time.

I'm running a Metzler on the rear and when I got a flat front all they had was an Avon. NOT GOOD. Swithing one of them soon. My favorite ride was a soft Avon on the rear and a stock Dunlop up front.

ORIGINAL: Arizona

I can only say that I had no problem running a Dunlop on the front and a Metzeler on the rear for a considerable time. I was in the process of changing over from blackwall to whitewall tires and the front had lots of tread left on it. I went ahead and ran the bike like that (a V-Star 1100) and had no problem with it. When the front was ready then I matchedit up with a whitewall Metzeler also.
Handsome bike AZ!

I've been running a Metz 880 front and a Dunlop rear for about 4000 miles without any noticable ill effects. I have a 160/70-17 Metz for the rear sitting in the shop waiting for a wheel.

I have dunlop on the front & Metz on the rear for 8000 miles. No handling probs, but Metz is wore out at 8000. Hope something better is out there.
