Rake,Springer length &wheel size??
Hello guys!! Needing some advice on Rake, fork length and wheel size.
I`ve seen a nice custom bike i like the look of, its got stock length down tubes, 38deg rake, its front end is a stock length springer, with a 21" wheel.
Im looking at starting my own project in my Garage{2 kids under 3 and a full time wife living with me} so im prepared to spend a few years in there!!.
im liking the look of the 38 deg rake, but id like to use a 2under springer with a 23" front wheel {18"rear},does anyone see any problems with this?? is rake to much at 38?? will there be any ground clearance issues, frame sitting front end low/high etc?? any info would be great, pictures of project with similar sizes would be awsome,
Thanks for your time,
El Gordo.

Seems to be the best place to start & if the time is there then all you should need to do is figure out what is wanted & stay with it. Because tire diameters change & those changes could affect any frame setup the tires/wheels are a great place to begin. But, if there is a frame already modified & built in the picture you may want to measure the clearances it will get by the dimensions you're wanting to work with. I think the best way to start & get a good visual is to get some butcher paper & draw it all up with the dimensions reduced to fit the paper (suggest 2 pieces about 9' x36" taped to make 9' L x 72" W, should get you really close to the actually size of the bike); this is probably going to help any builder you may interact with that is going to help with some of the hard parts, too.
