Default inflating tire's

Just bought me a new air compressor and thought i would try it out by putting air in my fat boy lo tire's, they were a few lbs low. Well it turned out i couldn't get air in the tire's at all, when i put the connection on the valve stem it would not put air in the tire at all. When i press the fitting off the valve stem there's a lot of pressure that comes out but nothing when it's on the stem. It's got me puzzled the regulator shows 150lbs tank pressure and 110 working pressure. Could it be i have the wrong type of air fitting to fill the tire or it takes the regular car tire fitting that's what i thought it takes. It's the first time i try to put air sense i bought the bike. Any input would be appreciated.

Yeah air comes out with a blow nozzle, also when i press the stem on the tire fitting air comes out then too. That's why i'm thinking the stem on the air fitting is maybe missing the thin valve stem fitting on the tire.
