Default Throttle control lever

While at the Fire and Ice Rally in Grants, NM this weekend, I found a great item for those who do a lot of traveling and don't have cruise control. It a little lever that attaches to the throttle lock wheel, making it very easy to use the throttle lock, even while wearing heavy gloves.

They cost 12.50, they install in about a minute, and have a lifetime warranty.

I got one for both my bike and my wife's and they work great. My wife has always been afraid to use her throttle lock because she couldn't get it off quick enough. She is now comfortable with using the lock.

If anyone is interested, I can post a pic of the lever installed, and give information on how to get one.

Regards,

Bill

I'm interested too, and by the way , tell your wife that in a tight situation, she doesn't have to disengauge the lock just to twist the throttle back again to idle position even with the new fitting.

She knows that, but she doesn't feel comfortable having the throttle tight without being able to loosen it quickly.

I still feel that way. I don't like the throttle lock unless I'm on the freeway. It takes a little getting used to.

I'm not scared...just broke and saving again! Kelly won't let me charge "improvements" I have to pay cash. If she wasn't right I'd be pissed!
