Default 416 Progressive shocks

I have a Road King that with the stock shocks the pot hole hits are hard on the lower back.I just picked up a set of Progressive 416's hoping to get a little softer hit on the pot holes.Any comments on the 416's,or any suggestions on shocks?Dog

How do you like the 416s? I haven't been able to find much feedback about them.

I've got 412s on my King, and they are miles above the stockers on what passes for paved roads in my town.

Default RE: 416 Progressive shocks

I'd like to resurrect this thread.

After examining the Ultra market, I decidedI'mgonna keep my Street Glide. Test riding an Ultra made me realize, however, that Ultra's do ride better. I've heard it described that Street Glides ride more harsh than regular Glides and I agree. Even the wife said "Ya know, I tense up for the bumps like I do on your bike but they never come". She had a point...

So I'm thinking about replacing the stock short shocks on my SG for a set of1" longer Progressive 416s to improve ride quality. I know Progressive is a good company to deal with. But I want to know if anybody here uses or has used the 416 air adjustable shock on your bike and how you liked them. Or am I better off buying stock Glide air shocks?

At this point, I want to keep the adjustability air shocks provide so I'm not really looking at the 440's.

Thanks for the input.
