Trying to find the best spot to stick this question. DIY seems like the best place.

I've got an 09 Electra Glide that's mostly on short runs. I want to take the tour pack off ... easy enough there. But I also want to take off the fairing.

I see 2 parts to this effort. 1 is the "simple" unbolting of the fairing and removing everything. But what concerns me is the electrical. I'm sure I can find a thread on cutting the harness and making a quick connect ... but if I take it off, is the computer going to freak out?

Has anyone attempted a project like this before? Are there any reasons I'm not aware of on why I might really want to not do this?
