If you put a 10 over springer on it we'll have to start callin' you "The Praying Mantis". A front end that long would need to have the frame raked out quite a bit. Otherwise it'll handle like a squirrel on steroids, and look like crap. With the frame raked to allow the bike to sit level, it'll handle like a squirrel on 'ludes - really slow. With the frame raked some and raked trees added to keep the trail reasonable, it would handle reasonably well.

Any reason for wanting the springer?

i just like the springer look. i have never riden one. i would hate to have to cut my frame. i would have to have it rechromed. do they make a springhr that i wont have to modify my frame?

You should be able to get one in the stock length. Check with Paughco.

Boy I had to dig into the old archives for this photo. This is a friends bike I think it was 10" or 12" over springer on a Sporty.
Might give you and idea of what it would look like.
He did later decide to rake the frame though. but he lived in Florida and didn't worry to much about turns
