Engine Mount / Stabilizer Upgrade (?)

Engine Mount / Stabilizer Upgrade (?)
At 86,000 miles and 11 years old, I suspect its maybe time for a new front motor mount and maybe 2 engine stabilizers. ( Its a 2000 FLTRSEI.)
I'm wondering about those ( expensive ) Urethane units from V Thunder for $85 for the front mount and $175 for the 2 stabilizers.
My stock front mount cost $35 to replace and the all steel stabilizers currently on the bike are probably fine since they don't have any rubber in them to start with.
The bike so far has been one of the smoothest V Twins I've owned but some vibration is getting through at some rpms recently.
Anyone with experience with these units out there? Might I be just buying into some good advertising?
Thanks,
Stiggy

I can only tell you what I have read. I heard you pick up vibration with the Urethane mounts. I have 85K on my 02 ultra and bought a stock mount as back up for when I do change mine. At my age I am no longer into running like a bat out of hell and more into comfort. As long as I can run 75 to 80 MPH all day in comfort that is all I care.
A good friend of mine has a 1988 FLHS with over 220K on it and has only replaced his front motor mount once.

Thanks 46U, I think that urethane Handlebar Mounts add vibration. I've heard that too.
I do believe that the Velva Rides are probably better, ( they'd sorta' have to be, given that they've been out for a long time,) but $275 worth?
We all want the best for our scoots, but I hate the idea of wasting money on something that isn't much better than stock frankly. That's what I'm looking to find out.

If I had a 2000, the first thing I would do is upgrade the swingarm to a 02-07 swingarm. The 99-01's had issues with cracking in the swingarms, hence they changed them. Then I would go with the Glide-Pro system which includes the front motor mount. Also, at that mileage I'm assuming you've done the necessary upgrades to the cam chest (i.e. cam tensioners, etc.)

Thanks Dawg,
No I didn't know of the swingarm issues, didn't know why HD switched them. Now I do. Of course in my situation it would mean replacing 3/4" axle, bearing, brake caliper arm and spacers. No big deal. The swing arms are otherwise interchangable? That would make the glide pro kit a no brainer. Thank you!
(Oh I did the gear drive cams back in January at 81,000 miles.)
