Default Any experience with Black Bike wheels?

I'm thinking of getting a set of Black Bike spoked wheels, and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them. Also, what other options are there for spoked wheels? I'm looking to going with 18's front and rear, with black rims. So far, I haven't found many companies even making laced wheels, so it's getting a little frustrating. Adding to the problem is I need a Wide Glide front hub for dual discs. Any ideas?

I'd cut the spokes of out my stock wheels, send the wheels and hubs and have them powdercoated gloss black, then relace the wheels with Landmark stainless diamond spokes.

BTW, why would you want to ditch the front 21 for an 18? A 21 will show of a setof nice wheels better.

The 21- well, both wheels are billet Xtreme Machine deals, which are pretty cool, but are at the same time my least favorite part of my bike. I'm actually getting rid of 'flash', or 'bling'. So far, I've blacked out the exhaust, the forward controls, and made a custom black air cleaner cover, and the bike's got a black Storz inverted fork. That's why the black rims. I'm going for the anti-typical-HD look, kind of like Exile Cycles, but with more black. The handlebar and risers will be going to the dark side soon, too.

I looked at their product before I went with my billets and found them to be of very high quality. If Exile uses them then you know they have to be no BS spokes.

Good luck and post some pics when you get 'em done.

This was my thinking, too. I believe Exile has very high standards, so these should be very high quality wheels.

Just buy a couple of cans of spray paint and black it out. Forget the high dollar parts.

Been there, done that! That's how my exhaust, foot controls and mirrors (so far) ended up black!

The main reason for changing wheels is I want a fatter front, and need a slightly narrower rear. The back wheel is a 16 x 5.5 with a 150, and it rubs very slightly- just enough to rub the tire lettering. I'll be going with a 4.25" rear and a 3.5" front- both 18's.

Well, had a change in plans. I've ordered my wheels, but am going with 16 x 3's now. After looking at as many pics as I could find, I decided the 16's have the biggest visual impact. They should arrive next week with Avon Venoms (150 r, 130 f) already installed. I'll just need to swap the rotors and pulley.

Who wants to buy some trick billet wheels?!

I've got 'em on my RoadKing and they're awesome. Black 16's. Just like all spokes though, I've had to have them adjusted. I've been to their shop and met them, great people, great product.
