Looking at chroming out the front end of my Heritage. For those that have bought the chrome lowers from eBay, can you tell me how you like them? Quality of chrome, assembly issues or anything else you feel is relevant. If you recall who you got them from, that would also be helpful.

BUMP... Nobody has bought chrome lowers off eBay?

 

I just bought a set of HD chrome lowers,for my new FatBob. $329 minus 20% disc. Didnt want to take a chance on aftermarket. Are the E-Bay lowers much cheaper? I guess if they are from a quality manufacturer. HD says they are stock parts, chromed, but who knows. Good luck.

 

Is it a Chrome shop? Are they simply taking the parts on trade and refinishing them?

i didn't want to risk getting stuff from a chrome shop that looked good for a year or two. that's why i went with the chromed lowers through harley rather than through a chromer. the harley chrome is top notch, and i've seen some stuff that's been chromed by local shops, and there's no comparison. harley's chrome process is the best in my opinion.
