Default Best way to lower rear of bike

I have an 07 Screaming Eagle Ultra. I want to lower it some. Are the shock relocation brackets good enough or should I pony up an purchase new shocks? Thanks

If you must lower the rear, the shorter shocks are the ONLY way to do it. The brackets will work but not the proper way to do it and they will make the ride stiffer because of the different angle of the shocks. Lowering just the rear can effect the handling of the bike too.
