Default Second disc brake for front wheel

I have an '06 Deuce and would like a little more stopping power. Any of you put on an additional disc/caliper assembly on your single disc front brake bike? I also wonder about cost and whether I'd need a new master cylinder or if you can splice the brake line to go to the second caliper? Thanks.

You'll need a new wheel to mount the disc. A new fork down leg to mount the caliper. A new set of brake lines. And a new master cylinder for the increased piston volume.

It's cheaper and easier to add a better caliper. A six piston progressive caliper will provide all the braking power you can use. IMO, I think it looks better, too.

Thanks Bob, just got back from a hiatus from this site. I happened to notice all of the items you mentioned last weekend while examining my bike. It's definately an upgrade I want to perform, but it sounds like I'll be buying the parts a few at a time due to cost.
