hi im new to the forum and just got a 75 iron head sportster im havinf troubles getting the forward controls adjusted correctely so i can ride this bike . it didnt come with the origanl shifter or brake just forwards i bought a new cross shaft and controls as the old ones were bent but the shifter folds bake when you try and shift up and wont allow me to shift any help on getting this adjusted would be great thanks levie67

 

can you post a pic of your shifter in the normal position and then another one in the folded back position. that would make it easier for us to understand what you mean by folds back when you try to shift

 

yes i will as soon as i get the photos taken and can figure oout how to get them on here .i also have another problem started it up today and the wireing harness caught on fire so have to rewire it to
