Lowering 2010 UltraGlide Limited Tourer
I just got a new UltraGlide Limited, and I would like to lower the ride. This is by far the biggest bike I have ever ridden. My salesman at New Roc Harley in NY told me Harley is coming out with a half price deal for purchasers of this bike on a lowering seat, because apparently, other owners have been concerned about the height, but now he's just tap dancing around when I ask him about it.
At any rate, I'm interested in a suspension that would preserve comfort and not bottom out while bringing the bike down and lowering the center of gravity.
Arnott? CVO parts? HD 1" lowering shocks?
Any recommendations?
Thanks- Jim

There will be no way to lower the bike and maintain the ride you have now. It has 3 inches of travel in the rear, to lower an inch gives you 2 inches. I was so unhappy with the ride of my 12" stock rear shocks(1" Shorter, Stock on FLHX) that I went to 13 1/4" aftermarket rear shocks that had coil springs. Rides way better. This has been my experience with my 08 FLHX.
