Default 78 fxe superglide convert to belt drive

Hi, new here and this looks like the place for all the answers. My question is can it be done converting a 78 fxe from chain primary and chain secondary to belt drive? I see they have a modified frame and swing arm through j&p cycles but would like to know if it is just the swing arm that needs replaced, and can you put a primary belt drive on the engine. thanks first time builder and learning as I go old bike passed down from father.

The belt primary is no problem, there are many kits on the market. The belt final drive could be an issue. The later belt drive swingarm frames had different bends in the frame to add Clarence for the width of the belt.

I would stay away from the narrow enclosed belts.... I like the 3" open belts as they hold up well. If you are thinking about the narrow one, keep all your stock primary stuff as it will only be a matter of time before you put it back on, IMO.
