Default CAN I LOWER A ROAD KING CUSTOM??

The HD catalog does not seem to list a way to lower the custom. I know it is lowered already from the other kings but I would like
to get it a bit more lowered. Has anyone done this? If so how? Any link you could point me too?

Thanks!!!

Hoopman

Ps if possible, how much of a job is it? In other words, how much should I expect to pay to get it done?? thanks!

Default RE: CAN I LOWER A ROAD KING CUSTOM??

Hoopman,
I lowered my 04 Custom by going with 412 progressive shocks in the back. I did not lower the front, but did change the fork oil to a high viscosity oil. The ride is a bit more stiff, but I do have a short inseam 28", and it works for me. BTW, I think the lowered stance is better looking. You will have a bit less clearance in turns, and have scraped the floorboards on occasion.
