Default frame wobble

Appreciate an opinion on aftermarket frame braces. Which one do you have?

Thumbs up

On my 2008 Flhx I installed the True Track , low rider version, very easy install, no increase in felt vibration, and it works as advertised for me. I rode over the same freeway overpass that had brought the hula dance out , in the same way , and no problems.

I have True-Track kits on both my Dyna and Glide. I understand they were the first on the market with these things, although there are many copies now, especially for the touring models. They are the only ones who make a kit for earlier rubber-mount bikes.

Thank you for the input. I was kinda thinking the same thing. I had heard HD dealers in Germany wouldn't sell an '08 tourer without a TrueTrac installed.

I hadn't heard that, but at least one German Harley forum has discovered them and is discussing them! Can't get it easily translated unfortunately.

Well in Germany you have those Autobands(?).
They have a couple different laws there. Lots really but---If you wanna run those things.

One of them is the tires must, by law, be capable of going as fast as the vihicle. On Harleys I don't know. No cheap going if the thing can do it.
On the highways some are limited to "mininum" low speeds. You better be able to run with the traffic or you can get a ticket or worse.

Must maintain right lane position, except to pass, and then better be able to get to 130 MPH quick at least. Or get run over. And a ticket and or maybe go to jail.
Over there "too slow" is against the law. Really.

And they have about a million cameras and computer controled Highway Troopers everywhere.

On pre 09 Harleys I can see a Dealer insisting a frame brace. More that that maybe. JATO assist.

Oldgunny is right on - if you wnat to run that fast, do whatever you can to 'deal with' the issues of an 800lbs bike on a soft steel tube frame. Harleys are made for US and our slow-poke speed limits.

If you out there in the over 100MPH group (160kph ), be prepared and frame flex reducing tools are only the beginning.

BTW: I love high speeds, so I am after ther true-trak for 'The King'.
