Default what would you do

I've owned a 2008 Road King for three weeks now. Went to garage this morning and found a flat rear. These are tubed tires. Called Harley dealer, (where I purchased the bike), and he said he would pick it up for $25 and replace rear tire for and additional $277. He said he would not fix flat due to "liability concerns", tire has less than 2800 miles on it. Check with local "harley shop" ,(that I am not familiar with), and they said they would pick it up for $75, and fix flat for $75. If the tire has no major damage, wouldn't this be OK? Or do you think I should go with the new tire. Is Harley Hosing me??? Any opinions appreciated.

If you can't take the wheel/tire off, call your stealership and have them come and get it. Patch the tire from the inside and replace the tube, in reality I would not worry about a small hole in the tire, just make sure they remove the nail, screw or whatever is in the tire. Now that's if the tire is not damaged beyond use. Are you a HOG member?

So long as there is no major damage to the tyre and no damage at all to the sidewall and beading, a patch on the inside of the tyre and a new tube should set you right.

I have patched tires and used them with no issues in the past, but in my old age, if I can afford a new tire, I would recommend replacing it. You're going to get opinions on both sides, but I personally would rather toss the tire in the trash and simply replace it. It ain't a car and you do not have four tires under you. You only have two, and if one goes flat, you could be in for an exciting ride.
