Default Did I put in to much fork oil?

I change out my fork springs to progressive lowered springs the manual said to put in 328 ml. Then use a special tool to get the oil level at 5.24 inch from the top of the fork tube to the top of the oil. Since I do not have this tool I use a ruler to check the distance. The oil was a little low I had to add about 25 ml to each fork. Does this sound about right I have never done this before and I do not want to screw anything up.

The oil level is the most important number. Legs collapsed and vertical , no springs installed. 5 and a quarter inches sounds good. Used a turkey baster with copper tubing shoved in the end back in the day to do my race bikes.
