Except they're both black!

Why do you ask?

The OP may be thinking of the FXR's and the FXRT (touring). They had the same frames.

Default what's the difference between Dyna and touring frames

I'm new to the forum and see the question has been asked about the differences between Dyna and touring frames but no one answered the question in detail. One answer was everything is different with no explination. Another answer is they are both black.

The touring frame is wider, enclosing the engine, trans and rear swingarm, also providing wider support to the saddle area. It has different steering geometry and is built for a higher gross vehicle weight. The Dyna frame, being narrower, does not enclose the swingarm, so is rather like a Sporty, with the belt drive outside the frame. Does that help?!

Hello there
Just as Graham says they are bigger to do a bigger job. Also if you look on goggle images there has been some changes to the big frames as they have got newer.
They say they are stronger and easy to make.
