Default Measuring fork oil in SG ???

I’m changing out the fork lowers on my SG and came to the part where its time to add the fork oil. I know I can buy that special HD tool or just measure out 10.8 oz for each fork leg. I would rather make the tool so it’s more precise. I looked at the manual but it doesn’t say how low or high the oil should be in each fork leg. Has any one made a suction tool like the HD fork oil level tool? Does any one have the HD tool? I guess what I really need to know is how low the oil is in the fork once it’s filled. Any ideas?

Thanks

This what I would suggest...
don't worry about the actual tool you'll need as to just the amount of fluid you'll need...
When the forks are assembled it can be a messy job trying to compress the spring and fluid could spill all over the place...
If you measure it with the tool you'll not actually know how much is really in there...

So with this said go ahead and completely assemble your forks per the assy. instructions...
from there install the tubes and install the fender and tire...

After the forks and tire is on put the bike on the ground and pour the fluid into the tubes pouring about 1/2 and then pumping it to allow the fluid to go into the lowers...You should start feeling the forks getting stiffer...Then install the remainder pouring carefully...
This will help you the next time you need to change the fluid...
