Question 2001 RK rear swing arm ?

What do I need to make a 1" axle fit in a 2001 Road King?
Can I use a 2007 - up swing arm in place of the 2001 swing arm?
Are there 1" adjusters that can go in the 2001 swingarm and then I would just need
a 1" spacer in wheel between the bearings?

Thanks for the help,
TimBone

Yes you can. I have just assembled all the parts to do this, to my 1990 Glide over the winter! You will also need a suitable wheel with 1 inch bearings. I bought a swingarm with brake calliper and axle, plus a wheel with disc and pulley.

From 2002 to 2007 a new much stiffer swingarm was introduced, along with 1 inch bearings and wheel axle. HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal has some articles on doing this conversion, which are worth reading. It has also been covered elsewhere, but this is the most accessible - scroll down to 'Rear Suspension'.
