Ok Im asking this for a friend, I tried to get all the details possible from him about. He has an 09 Fat Bob w/ about 1500 miles on it. His front end has developed a woble when he gets up to 45 mph and he said it gets better once he gets above 55 mph. He said it the those are usually the speeds its worst at but he also notices when he shifts into third gear, it goes away when he gets into fourth. He says it definately the front end though, he doesnt feel any more vibration in the seat or on the pegs, only from the front end.

Off the top of my head I could think of a wheel weight knocked off or loose steering head. Were gonna check it out on Weds. so anymore ideas what to look for? thanks

 

Loose steering head, loose spoke (if he has them), unbalanced wheel, broken belt in the tire, misaligned rear wheel.

But I think I'd start with making sure the correct pressure is in both tires, then do the steering head and check fallaway.

 

Agree with rthomp159. Unlikely to be anything major I would guess. Tyre pressures - check them both! If he doesn't ride very often he should check them before each ride.
