Rear pully bolt torque specs for 03 Dyna needed
I have an 03 Dyna Superglide and need the torque specs for the 5 bolts that mount the belt pully to the rear wheel. I tried using chrome bolts to mount the pully and just had 3 of them snap off so I am reverting back to the original OEM bolts and wanted to make sure they weren't over tightened. Also, is it a good idea to use locktite on these bolts to keep them from loosening

I will read to you directly from the factory manual:Two drops of Loctite 262 (red) on each of the 5 bolts. Uses washers with these bolts.
Torque for cast wheels= 55 to 65 ft lbs.
Torque for laced wheels= 45 to 55 ft lbs.
Additionally, these bolts are 7/16-14 x 2 1/4 Hex head w/ locking cap__Grade 5__Part # 3737A

Tell ya what ,man...go ahead an do what the Manual says..and when you want to change it out next time..and you break the bolts..use a torch and melt the Red LocTite first...that way you wont break anything..........................OR!...use Blu LocTite and forget it....but no matter what you do...do it your way.

RE: Rear pully bolt torque specs for 03 Dyna needed
After reading your last post I went out to the shop and removed one bolt on the pully from my 2003 Dyna. It came out using just a little force, and guess what color the MoCo used for thread locker. That's correct...RED. So, maybe the factory does not read what they write, but I will follow the manual(s) thank you.
