Default Wild1 518 help please...

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of installing a set of Wild1's 518 bars on my 05 RK Classic. Has anyone installed these bars without extending the wiring? Wild1 says the stock length will work, but I'm not so sure...

Thanks,
Rick

sky,

I installed a set of 508's on my '05 RKC and didn't need to lengthen anything. The 518's have a 14.24" pullback and my 508's have a 16" pullback. However, the 518's are a little wider than the 508's. Not sure if all this helps but I thought I'd mention it.[8D]

Tom,

How did you get the plugs to reach each other? Did you remove them from the little nipples they are attached to just below the triple clamp?

Rick,

A buddy of mine removed the plug ends and fished the wires through the bars, then reinstalled the plug ends (Not sure if that was what you were asking?). Everything was just long enough to plug in. I reassembled everything else.[8D]

I put 518's on my Heritage and didn't have to lengthen anything but not much to spare.
