I picked up some metal etching primer and some Krylon Gloss Black and after I shoot 3 coats of primer and 3-4 coats of black, I'll wet sand with 2k grit and then I'll use a wool pad and rubbing compound followed by a foam pad with mirror glaze and then wax.
I'll use a 3m wool pad and foam pad and rubbing compound and a Meguiars mirror glaze #7 and Nxt Gen 2.0 wax
It's a painful process to get a good outcome, but it's worth not dropping the serious cash on new parts

I put 3 coats of rustoleum gloss black on one of the cow bells this afternoon. I'm going to let it hang in the spare bedroom and dry completely and tomorrow afternoon I'll check out the condition. looking at my spray job, it's dam near as smooth as my powder turned out... I'm going to go with a wet sand with 2000 grit. Then i'm going to put my 2" velcro pad on my corded (1500rpm) drill and use 3m rubbing compound on a hard foam (or wool if needed) and then meguairs #7 mirror glaze on soft foam. Last, I'll finish up with swirl X on a microfiber towel or some blue coral scratch stuff my dad gave me, and lastly I'll toss on the NXT gen 2.0 wax. I know that's a TON of work, but I'm looking at the fact that I could've spent $500+ (what i was quoted for all my parts) on a professional powder job... on top of that, I can say... I did it myself... when it's finally all over...
