Default bearing installation order

Well I'm not getting to worried about this one. I installed the bearings at work with an arbour press. Took about 2-minutes a bearing. Didn't follow any order other than I kept the lettering on the bearings out like the originals.
Reading my service manual to get the rotor torque, noticed that HD wants you to install one rim's first bearing on the valve stem side and the other rim opposite. Any one know the reason why? I checked the bearing depth with a vernier and they are all seated pretty close. The went in and bottomed perfectly also.
Can't turn back now!

Don't think I'd lose any sleep over that one.
