Guys,

Have any of you done the H.D. wide tire kit? My friend and I both have S.E. Deuce's. My buddy has the 03 and wants the wide tire that is on the 04. H.D. offers it in their catalog but our local dealer has no idea what is needed to complete the upgrade. Do any of you know? I figure we can use the stock wheel, but we are not sure about the swing arm or caliper... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you checked out the Deuce owners tech board? A lot of guys have done it. There's a lot of Deuce info there.You need to buy the screamin eagle 180 Dunlop tire to go on the stock rim. The Dunlop is made to go on the stock 4.5 inch wide rim. It's a direct fit. You do not need the swingarm kit. You can also go with a 180/55 18 Avon Or Metzler on an 18x5.5 inch rim. I haven't done this yet, but I am going to do it for this winter's upgrades, when I will need new tires anyway. I have been researching this a lot. go to speedtv.com american thunder series they had an episode on a wide tire kit for a deuce, it was a real wide tire and the kit had a real big price.
