Front Caliper Bleeder Screw leak
Hey everybody, I've got this pesky problem that I can't figure out...it's starting to get on my nerves big time. My front break caliper bleeder screw seeps fluid...I don't get it. It's not coming from the bleeding hole...the fluid actually seeps up through the threaded area.
I don't get it...it's not dangerously bad...but just sorta gradually spreads out from the threaded area. I guess my question is...can I get away with pulling the bleeder screw completely off, putting some Teflon tape or paste on the threads...and re-tightening the screw to specs?
Is Teflon a big no no in this situation?

Look it over closely around the hole for cracks. Could be a porosity issue on the outside of the sealing seat as well. I'd try removeable loctite on the threads if there are no cracks beyond the thread area. Teflon tape bites, sucks and blows and is best used for house plumbing.
