Default 90-90 21" tire

Buying a mag 21" wheel, was thinking of going to the Venom 90-90 size, only $5 more then Stock size. Stock tire size is 'Diameter' 27.20". Venom 27.60...'Width' stock 3.25".
Venom 3.70"... By my math my bike would set about 3/16" higher and the tire would be about 7/16" wider. With close to being 1/2" wider, I dont think the tire would look so skinny from the front. Anybody have one? pics? seen one on a Sportster?...Thanks.

I put a Venom 90/90-21 on the front of my FXR to replace an880ME 90/90-21 not knowing they weren't the same size. The little mold lines actually rubbed the sides of the fender til they wore off. Still sends graved between the fender and tire tread. I finally got used to the bigger looking tire and change in handling. I will go to the MH90-21 the next time.

I did know that the 880 are a bit smaller the Venoms. I dont know why they rubbed any place on the fender. On my 06-custom I have just over 1/2" clearance on each side at the closest points, a Venom should only be 1/4" wider on each side then my stock tire. Do you think your fender may be a bit closer to the wheel then a 06 custom. I wan't to be sure my tire dont rub. Sure dont look like it will...

Thumbs up

I went from a 19 to a 21 Avon Venom on my '88 FXR; fits well and I think it looks great, I'd recommend it. It sounds like you have a Sporty; because the Sporty is narrower I think it could look even better.

Default Pic of 21"

Here's a pic of a 21" wheel with a 90/90 Venom on my FXR.
