Default Front tires are directional (EDITED)

Ok guys!
My eyes were too feeble to see it but my younger wife located&nbsp\\;the arrow on the sidewall and&nbsp\\;my tire 'IS' mounted backward.
I'll call my indy and have him switch it, I think it was just a bad day for him
when he mounted it or he had a greenhorn do it, I'll get it sorted out.
Bottom line: Most cycle front tires if not all are directional and I guess it has to do
with water siping especially while braking on wet surfaces.
&nbsp\\;
My indy mounted a new michelin 21" tire for me with the tread direction looking at the
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;tire over the handlebars from a mounted position like this: /////\\\\\\\\\\\\
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
All other bikes have dunlops and Michelins
mounted with tread direction like this:\\\\\\\\////
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Is mine mounted the wrong direction and could this cause more squirm over
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
bridge grates or am i just worrying over nothing??
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Sorry about the design but it's difficult when the forum is adding slashes and dots!!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Thanks

Default RE: Are front tires directional???

All tires are directional. In the side of the tire, you'll see an arrow that indicates the rotation direction that must have the wheel. Check this arrow and see if the wheel is correctly mounted.

Yea I've had directional T/a's on my cage for many years and I
checked&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;my bike's tire&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;out in parking garage but couldn't see for crap
because there's very little light in there. I'll give it a look at when I
get home tonight (working today had to drive cage).
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Anyway I'd still like to hear others post up any stories and experiences etc.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Thanks!
&nbsp\\;
PS: NICE BIKE!!

Just check your sidewall and make sure the arrows fall forward as you roll it.

Not exactly sure which way you are describing it BG but here is a pic of
my bike with the old front tire. The new tire is mounted the other direction
from this....
